How we use cookies
We use one cookie that is strictly necessary to run the site and remember your choice. Everything else, such as analytics, is switched off until you say yes. Rejecting non-essential cookies never limits what you can do on the site.
Change your choice
You can review or withdraw consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give.
Strictly necessary (always on)
Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
| NAME | PURPOSE | DURATION | PROVIDER |
|---|---|---|---|
| uw_consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 6 months | Unwritten (first party) |
Analytics
Helps us understand which pages are used and how people find us, so we can improve the site. Data is aggregated.
| NAME | PURPOSE | DURATION | PROVIDER |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors to count usage | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _ga_<container-id> | Keeps session state | 2 years | Google Analytics |
Marketing
Lets us measure and personalize advertising. We do not currently run advertising cookies; this setting applies if we add any later.
Saved items
If you use “Save” on a page, we keep that page’s address in your browser’s local storage (key uw_saved) so your list is there next time. It is created only when you click Save, never leaves your device unless you choose “Share saved items”, and is removed by “Clear all” or by clearing your browser data. Because you asked for this feature, it does not need a separate consent.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookie means we cannot remember your choice, so we will ask each visit.
